Find the Application

  1. Login to ApplyYourself
  2. Click on Select a System
    • Click on Application System, Click on Application for Admission
  3. Click on Search for Applicants
  4. Click on Search by Individual
    • Type in student's Last Name & Birth Date
    • Hit Enter or Click on Submit
  5. Find correct name and click on the PDF Icon on the right

Viewing & Printing the Application

  1. After you have clicked on the PDF icon, it will bring up the PDF of the Application that you can view or print

How do I view & print an online recommendation in
ApplyYourself?

Find the Recommendation

  1. Find the Recommendation
  2. Click on Select a System
    • Click on Application System, Click on Recommendation
  3. Click on Search for Recommenders
  4. Make Sure Record Options = Recommendation & Application Submitted
  5. Click on Search by Applicant's Information
    • Type in student's Last Name & First Name
    • Hit Enter or Click on Submit
    OR
    Click on Search by Recommender's Information
    • Type in Recommender's Last Name & First Name
    • Hit Enter or Click on Submit
  6. Find the correct name and click on recommender's name

Viewing the Recommendation

  1. Click on Recommendation
  2. Click on Overall Evaluation to View the Recommendation

Printing the Recommendation

  1. Click on Print (under Recommendation on right) to bring up a printer friendly Recommendation Form

How do I add a recommender for an applicant in
ApplyYourself?

Find the Application

  1. Login to ApplyYourself
  2. Click on Select a System
    • Click on Application System, Click on Application for Admission
  3. Click on Search for Individual
    • Type in student's Last Name & Birth Date
    • Hit Enter or Click on Submit
  4. Find correct name and click on student's name

Adding a Recommender

  1. Click on Recommendations (under Supporting Documents)
  2. Click on Add New Recommendation
  3. Fill in All Information & Click on Save

How do I edit a recommender's information in
ApplyYourself?

Find the Application

  1. Login to ApplyYourself
  2. Click on Select a System
    • Click on Application System, Click on Application for Admission
  3. Click on Search for Individual
    • Type in student's Last Name & Birth Date
    • Hit Enter or Click on Submit
  4. Find correct name and click on student's name

Editing a Recommender's Information

  1. Click on Recommendations (under Supporting Documents)
  2. Click on the Recommender's Name that you would like to Edit
  3. Click on Edit Profile
  4. Edit the appropriate information & Click on Save

How do I view GPASU's Admission decisions in
ApplyYourself?

Find the Application

  1. Login to ApplyYourself
  2. Click on Select a System
    • Click on Application System, Click on Application for Admission
  3. Click on Search for Individual
    • Type in student's Last Name & Birth Date
    • Hit Enter or Click on Submit
  4. Find correct name and click on student's name

Viewing GPASU's Admission Decision

  1. You can View the Decision in the Status Information Block on the Application Main Page
  2. Look for the Decision Field
    • If Decision = Select, a Decision has not yet been made
    • If Decision = 97 (or U9), Applicant was Admitted Full Status
    • If Decision = 58 (or U8), Applicant was Admitted Full Status, Conditional (pending documents)
    • If Decision = 47 (or U7), Applicant was Admitted Limited Status
    • If Decision = 46 (or U6), Applicant was Admitted Limited Status, Conditional (pending documents)
    • Note that the U_ codes are mirror codes needed to be used when an applicant already has an active SGASTDN in Banner
    • 18 = Dept Recommended Withdrawal (before a decision has been made) on Referral
    • 19 = Dept & GPASU Recoded the Application
    • 20 = Dept Reported that the Applicant Rejected the Admissions Offer
    • 78 = Dept Denied the Application because it was Incomplete
    • 90 = Dept or Graduate College Denied Application
  3. Look for the field Decision Date to see the official admission decision date.
  4. Note that the Decision Reason and In Process Status fields are not being used by GPASU

Viewing GPASU's Limited Status Admission Decision Reasons

  1. Click on Application for Admission
  2. Click on GPASU: Pre-Admission Data Check
    • Remember that this is a GPASU Form and is for Departmental View Only
  3. Scroll Down to Admission Decisions, Admission Ratings
  4. Rating (SAARRAT) = Limited Status Admissions will have one or more of the following:
    • 49DPT Limited Status - Departmental Deficiencies
    • 49EPT Limited Status - English Prof Test Req
    • 49GPA Limited Status - Low GPA
    • 49ND Limited Status - No Degree
      • 49ND = No Comparable Bachelors Degree
    • 49UA Limited Status - Unaccredited
      • 49UA = Institution Unaccredited, Board of Governors or Trustees Degree, GPA Cannot be Averaged
    • 49CRS Limited Status - Coursework (MBA Only)
      • This is an MBA Function Only
    • 48DPT LS Clear - Departmental Requirements
      • Used when student has cleared his/her Departmental Deficiencies
    • 48EPT LS Clear - English Prof Test Required
      • Used when student has cleared his/her English as a Second Language EPT Requirements and all ESL required coursework fulfilled

How do I track a referral's progress in GPASU's Admission &
SEVIS processes in ApplyYourself?

Find the Application

  1. Login to ApplyYourself
  2. Click on Select a System
    • Click on Application System, Click on Application for Admission
  3. Click on Search for Individual
    • Type in student's Last Name & Birth Date
    • Hit Enter or Click on Submit
  4. Find correct name and click on student's name

Tracking a Referral's Progress

  1. Click on QuickView (underneath applicant's name at top right)
  2. If you requested a Recode:
    • If Recode? = YES, the Recode has not yet been completed
    • If Recode? = Recode Completed by Grad Admissions, the Recode has been completed
  3. GPASU's Modular Process Steps are listed in the QuickView and you can see what steps have been completed
  4. Each Module has Complete, Date, and Comments Fields.
    • Complete = Blank = Module not yet Completed
    • Complete = YES = Module Completed
    • Complete = Incomplete = There is a problem with the file
    • Date = Date Module Completed or made Incomplete
    • Date = Date Module Completed or made Incomplete
    • Source = GPASU Staff Member who Completed Module or made file Incomplete
    • Comments = Why a file was made Incomplete (Note: "Admit" through "Notice of Admission and SEVIS Documents Mailed or Picked Up" are all in the "Final Admissions Tracking" Comments
  5. Each Domestic Referral will go through the following modules:
    • Preliminary Document Check
    • Academic Credential Evaluation
    • Pre-Admission Data Check
    • Admit
    • Notice of Admission Mailed or Picked Up (No SEVIS documents required)
  6. Each Int'l Referral will go through the following modules:
    • Preliminary Document Check
    • Financial Evaluation

  7. Depending on the Applicant's Request for Visa Eligibility Documents, the Referral will go through one or more of the following modules:

    Transfer I-20/DS-2019 (Currently at U.S. institution, SEVIS record not released):

    • Notice of Admission Mailed or Picked Up (SEVIS document to be issued when SEVIS record is released)

Find the Referral

  1. Login to ApplyYourself
  2. Click on Select a System
    • Click on Application System, Click on Application for Admission
  3. Click on Search for Applicants
  4. Click on Search by Individual
    • Type in student's Last Name & Birth Date
    • Hit Enter or Click on Submit
  5. Find correct name and click on student's name
  6. Click on Application for Admission
  7. Click on DEPT: Admission Referral

Fill out the following on the Referral to Recode the Applicant for Automatic Admit

Department Information Section
  • Department Contact Name: Type your name here
  • Department Contact E-mail: Use the scroll bar to select your email address
  • Department Contact Phone: Type your phone number here
  • Secondary Department Contact Name, E-mail: If you have a secondary contact, type their name and e-mail here
Applicant Summary Information Section
  • Declaration & Certification of Finances Complete: Choose N/A
  • International Student Verification Complete: Choose N/A

Notify the Applicant
  • Email the applicant and let them know to log back into their Application and fill out the International Student Verification Form.

  • After you have clicked on the PDF icon, it will bring up the PDF of the ISVF that you can view or print
