Career Advising
Graduate College career advisers assist Illinois graduate students with career exploration, networking, CV & résumé preparation, and the job search process. We are happy to critique application materials like résumés, CVs, cover letters, and other job search materials.
However, because of the overwhelming demand for our services, we expect all students to do advance preparation before seeking a résumé or CV critique. Please visit our web site for information, advice, and samples on resumés, CVs, or cover letters, as well as tips on interviewing and job offer negotiation. There's even a page to explain the difference between a CV and a resumé. Or attend one or more of the many workshops offered each year, just for graduate students.
