1. TODAY: "How to Find a Job Outside Academia, Even If You Aren't Sure That You Want One

2. Teaching Students How to Find and Evaluate Reputable Sources

This workshop will cover strategies and techniques to teach undergraduates how to evaluate online sources, how to find reputable sources online, and how to approach information sources from a framework of academic literacy.

The Writers' Workshop is once again offering brief personal statement workshops for students who need help writing personal statements or any other type of application essay. All sessions will be held in room 251 of the Undergraduate Library:

Sessions will be interactive, starting with a brief presentation given by our consultants introducing the concept of personal statements, followed by a discussion on some strategies and pitfalls, allowing some time for questions and answers.

7. The Graduate College Career Services Office

The Graduate College Career Services Office (GCCSO) assists University of Illinois graduate students with decision making and planning for career paths both within and beyond the academy. It is a centralized resource for graduate students from all disciplines, with services focused especially on the needs of graduate students in the humanities, the social sciences, the fine arts, and other areas in which students are not presently served by dedicated, discipline-based career services offices.
