Interviewing Skills for Non-Academic Jobs
Monday, November 5
3:00 - 4:30 p.m.

Designed to help graduate students optimize their interview performance for non-academic jobs, this workshop will address interview formats, preparation strategies, hints for responding to tough questions, and topics to avoid. It will also cover behavioral-based interviewing. No registration is necessary.
Thesis Deposit Workshop
Tuesday, November 6
5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
407 Illini Union
This workshop will cover the deadlines, required deposit materials, and basic formatting rules in effect for the current deposit period. It is designed to provide graduate students with the key information they need to achieve a successful, low-stress deposit and graduation experience. No registration is necessary.
The Art and Science of Job Offer Negotiation

So you've received the job offer...now what? This workshop will discuss offer evaluation, what aspects of the job offer can be negotiated, and basic strategies for conducting a successful negotiation.

This workshop will discuss how to establish effective online group discussions with message boards, Wikis, and other asynchronous discussion tools. This will also be a great introduction to free programs such as Moodle. Please note that this workshop qualifies GTC/AGTC credit.

The Graduate College Career Services Office (GCCSO) assists University of Illinois graduate students with decision making and planning for career paths both within and beyond the academy.
