Illinois Transcripts for Fellowship Competitions
In preparing nominations of current Illinois students for Graduate College fellowship competitions, please be advised that the student report in Banner, Student Academic History, will not be accepted as a transcript, nor will printouts of the SHACRSE screen in Banner.
To assist in the preparation of the nomination materials, please pay particular attention to the specific fellowship description, which outlines the transcript requirement.
If the fellowship description specifies that an official transcript is necessary, the student must give permission to the Office of Admissions and Records to release the transcript to the department. The student may personally obtain an official copy (in a sealed envelope) and provide it to the department submitting the fellowship nomination.
If the fellowship description does not specify an official transcript is required, the department may submit one of two available reports:
- Academic History for Advisors - EDDIE version (SAH_Academic_History_for_Advisors). Use the Course History by Term tab. To search for a single student, use refresh and search by UIN, using current term. If you do not have access to this report in EDDIE, you will need to request access through your Unit Security Contact.
- Academic History for Advisors -- ViewDirect version (SH1AHFA08B Academic History For Advisor Course History By Term - KS). To search on a student UIN within the ViewDirect report, use the ViewDirect Search feature (not the PDF search binoculars, but the flashlight on the ViewDirect toolbar) and make sure to check the checkbox labeled 'Current Section Only'.
Either of these documents provides an official record equivalent to the old ledger copy. The CITES Help Desk number is 333-3102.
