Graduate Student Mixer This Tuesday
Tuesday, August 25, 5:00-7:00 PM, Alice Campbell Alumni Center
Take a break from your to-do list and join us for this month’s
Graduate Student Mixer at the Alumni Center. It’s a chance to
relax with friends, meet new people and enjoy complimentary
snacks and a cash bar. All graduate and professional students,
friends and family are welcome. This is an open event. No
pre-registration is required.

Academic Job Search Workshop
Wednesday, August 26, 3:00-4:30 PM, 407 Illini Union
Are you looking for an academic job this fall or want to learn
more about the process? This workshop will cover the general
process of applying for faculty positions, where to look for job
postings, and the materials required when applying for academic
jobs. It will also explore the critical importance of networking,
provide advice on how to organize and prepare, and introduce
valuable resources.

New Student Tours of the Library
Take a tour of the Main Library and the Library Gateway! During
the tour, attendees will learn about the services provided by the
Undergraduate Library, visit departmental libraries and the 'stacks'
as well as take a tour of virtual library services via the Library
Gateway. The session will last about 50 minutes. Meet at the Main
Library in the Marshall Gallery, on the first floor near the east
entrance. No registration necessary.

INTERLINK: International Student Mentoring
Apply online by September 3
INTERLINK is a mentoring program that pairs new and returning
international students (mentees) with volunteer mentors
consisting of senior students (graduate or undergraduate), faculty
and staff, to provide mentees social and emotional support in
their adjustment process. Applications are now being accepted
for both mentors and mentees. Graduate students and US-born
mentors are especially encouraged to apply.
