Best Management Practices (BMPs) for Graduate Program Improvement
At the suggestion of the Task Force on Graduate Education, the Graduate College is sharing policies and procedures used in various departments on the campus. These policies are considered good policies or procedures, BMPs, that might improve graduate programs and thus the educational experiences of graduate students in other departments. It is recognized that due to the great diversity of programs on the campus, few of these policies will be appropriate for all departments.
Additional BMP suggestions are requested. They may be sent to the Graduate College (grad@uiuc.edu), for consideration for inclusion. As new practices are archived to this list, they will be shared with Directors of Graduate Studies by e-mail. New "Best Management Practices" will be added to the list on a continuing basis.
